Whether you are an experienced photographer or you have just bought your first DSLR, upgrading your photography gear is never out of place. Remember, photography is not a cheap hobby, but if you choose your gear carefully, it will serve you for years. So what is there on the market this year? Here are a few things worth investing in.

It’s no secret that technology and photography are inseparable these days. Actually, it’s been always this way, since the first camera was invented. One may say, it’s not important what you use to take a photo, but how you use it, and perhaps it’s true, but there is no harm in knowing what is there on the market today. Being aware of modern trends is  definitely capable of adding extra quality to your photography. At the same time, there is no need to go to extremes, after all trends come and go.

The first rule of any kind of professional photography is – no SLR, no real fun. The truth is, in the absence of a real camera, point and shoot cameras will get you just that far. Camera control is simply inexistent with point-and-shoots and even if you want to try it out to learn more you will find that you cannot use it even to that end.

Nikon has been pleased to present the D3200 which doesn’t replace the popular D3100, but is rather a compliment to it and likely to appeal to both beginner and established photographers as it is more sophisticated that the D3100 while remaining easy to use.

Nikon has recently launched the Nikon D800, a marvellous hybrid camera that unites several of the powerful characteristics of the D4 and the body style of the popular D700 and features a high resolution 36.3MP sensor. The first batch arrived near the end of March and the D800E arrives during the month of May. This camera will set a new standard in digital photography.

There is a constant discussion on whether people should upgrade their cameras, or if you as a photographer should upgrade from the non-full frame camera to a full-frame one. There are a great number of discussions on this topic, more precisely whether it would be best for you and your image to upgrade to full-frame rather than wait for the next best thing in the APS-C sensor area.

Here it is, the new Nikon D7000. It is the newest camera from Nikon, a DSLR camera with a 16.2 megapixel DX image sensor. It also has Full HD video and full-time autofocus and manual exposure control. The ISO range of the camera is about 100-25600.

The D3000 is out for quite some time now; the D3100 is the obvious replacement, so why should you buy it? As with every product, before you even consider the thought of buying it, you need to understand what you would require it, how useful that product would actually be to you and so on.

It was about time we heard something from Sigma and the release of the SD1 digital SLR camera is exactly what we need. To get started, it has a 46 MP 24x16mm APS-C X3 direct image sensor.

Panasonic has introduced a brand new interchangeable lens called the Lumix G Vario 100-300mm lens. This is a great lens and has the ability to realize high optical performance and compactness.
