This week Microsoft released a new add-in for the Windows system built-in file manager, Windows Explorer. This add-on Microsoft Camera Codec Pack improves your Windows to be able to show the RAW images within the Explorer or the Windows Live Photo Gallery.

About one year ago there was an article about Microsoft ICE, the fastest software for creating panorama photography. Now, I would like to refresh these information with a new article. Microsoft ICE was released in a new version which supports direct upload to Photosynth service.

Are you a panorama photography fan? If so, you probably should know about relatively new panorama photography tool from Microsoft – fast and powerful freeware application called Microsoft Image Composite Editor, or Microsoft ICE shortly.

Microsoft Pro Photo Tools is nice freeware utility for geotagging your photos and adding some metadata information to them. I have mentioned it in my June’s article Microsoft Pro Photo Tools: geotagging and metadata editing. Now, Microsoft comes with second version of this application. It brings a few changes in user interface, RAW and HD photos support and much more.

Did you heard about interested project developed by Microsoft Research? One of its applications is called AutoCollage 2008 and it is intended to photographers. With Microsoft Research AutoCollage 2008 you are able to create a nice collage from your photos.

How many Microsoft's software do you know? There is famous Windows operating system, office suite MS Office, Visual Studio for developers, designer set Microsoft Expression and perhaps several other giants. However it is surprising how many freeware tools are offered by Microsoft. Take a look at Microsoft Pro Photo Tools for batch editing of your photos especially for geotagging.

Using Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition you can be in total control of your available photos and digital images. This software makes your digital images appear in their best. There are lots of image enhancement tools available. Editing tools ranges from smart erase to panoramic stitching. Picture organizing tools ranges from applying music to slideshow edit. The Windows Live suite is Microsoft's first integrated set of downloadable Windows Live applications. Windows Live Photo Gallery is one of the most interesting applications in the Windows Live suite, from my point of view. Windows live suite includes one of the most desktop-based photos and videos management application is Windows Live Photo Gallery. Organize the photo collection, creating a slide show, use the slide show as the screen saver, powerful editing tools such as cropping, contrast adjusting, brightness adjustment, red eye removal are some of the key features available with this software. Beta review has been updated to reflect the final shipping Windows Live suite. With the Windows Live suite, Microsoft is making its integrated set of Windows applications available via a single installer from the Windows Live Web site.

Window Live Photo Gallery is an upgraded version of Windows Photo Gallery and is a part of the Windows Live suite. Windows Live Photo Gallery presents management and sharing, categorization, and searching abilities for your digital photos or albums. Window Live Photo Gallery allows publishing photos to Windows Live Spaces and Flickr. In addition users can also publish their videos to Soapbox on MSN Video.
